Harwood Union High School is a unique community where students are provided the opportunity to individualize their education and take the reins. We are recognized for our Harkness Practice and the extensive learning experiences our students can participate in outside the classroom, such as an Aerospace Exploration independent study or an HUUSD equity intern. Located in the heart of the Green Mountains, our students come from six surrounding towns where many of the faculty also live

Brookside Primary School is a PK-4th grade school in the village of Waterbury, VT. We are a joyful and caring community!
We believe in collaboration, inclusion, and partnering with our families and community. We believe positive relationships, human connection, and social and emotional learning are essential. Our instruction is informed by ongoing assessment and is rigorous, relevant, culturally diverse, inclusive, and representative of the world we live in.
The Moretown School is a wonderful place for children to learn and grow! We challenge our students to grow mentally, physically and emotionally in an environment filled with joy, compassion, and laughter. Each week students participate in our Educating Children Outdoors (ECO) program and during the winter months our first through sixth grade students participate in a winter sports program through Sugarbush where they learn to ski or snowboard. Our average class size is around 17 students with a total student body of 165 students. Our robust academic program includes art, music, physical education, French, library and wellness. Our school commitment to joy, community and kindness continue to drive our approach to education and student learning.
Tucked in the center of the Mad River Valley, Waitsfield Elementary School serves over 165 students in preschool through 6th grade. We are surrounded by forest and mountains, yet a majority of our students live within 2 miles of the school. We are intentional in building community within our school, where all students and staff know one another, and their families, by name. From cross-grade partnerships, to regular school-wide activities, from our robust adult mentoring program to a strong volunteer base, we prioritize not only rigorous academic standards but also a sense of belonging and connection. Our highly experienced staff tend to the growth of the whole child to foster confident, competent, compassionate individuals.
Nestled at the base of the beautiful Mt. Ellen Ski Resort is the Fayston Elementary School. A rural Vermont elementary school, we are located in the town of Fayston in the beautiful Mad River Valley. We are a part of the Harwood Unified Union School District (HUUSD). Fayston Elementary School is a high-performing school with around 115 students attending PK- 6th grade. We have a dedicated, professional staff that is committed to the academic, social, and emotional success of all our students. In addition to rigorous academics that include Art, Music, Physical Education, French, Library, and Wellness, we also value the outdoor educational experience. Our school is a reflection of a supportive, caring, and energized community that deeply values education and personal connections.
